After an earthquake that measured 6.8 on the Richter scale struck Northeast India early today, India Test skipper Virat Kohli prayed for the victims.My prayers go out for the safety of everyone affected by the earthquake in Manipur and surrounding states. The epicentre of the earthquake, which occurred at 4.37 am at a depth of 17 km below the ground, was at Tamenglong which is located 33 kilometres from Imphal in Manipur.Three people were also killed and 40 injured in Bangladesh which was jolted by strong tremors.Two more aftershocks were felt at 9.27 AM and at 2.30 PM. However, telecom services are almost back to normal in Imphal.Kohli will leave with the Indian team on January 5 for a five-match ODI series and three-match T20 International series in Australia. The bilateral series starts in Perth on January 12 and concludes with the final T20 in Sydney on January 31.
