The team confidently took down the Gaels 5-2 to capture their first Jester’s title since 2014.Toronto found themselves in a 1-2 hole earl against Queen’s, but never gave in. Junana Chaves and Rhea both rallied off come-from-behind victories in their respected matches to regain the lead at 3-2.The biggest momentum swing came when No. 5 seed Thandi Myers took to the court. Down 6-10 in the fifth and final set with four match balls, the first-year Engineering student did the unthinkable. She recorded the next six points to take the match and clinch the league title for the team.The both the men and women now prepare for the 2018 OUA championship, February 9-11, hosted by the Gaels in Kingston, Ont.last_img
