first_img Josh Onomah Tottenham starlet Josh Onomah has described making his Premier League debut as a “dream come true”.The 18-year-old midfielder made his top-flight bow in Spurs’ 3-1 win over Aston Villa on Monday, coming on as a late substitute for Deli Alli.Onomah paid tribute to Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino for putting his faith in him and expressed his desire to taste further Premier League action this season.“I’m absolutely delighted the head coach trusted me to come on at 2-1 when the game could have gone either way,” he said.“In that situation you have to be ready, so I’m buzzing I got a chance and I thank the gaffer for giving me that.“When I came on we were under the cosh a bit, Villa had had a few chances, but I wanted to make a positive impact and I was really happy when we scored the third goal.“I had a couple of openings too, a little cross and a shot which unfortunately I didn’t quite connect with properly. I wanted to give a bit of energy to the game.“It’s a dream come true to make my first Premier League appearance and hopefully it’s the first of many.” 1last_img
