2car crash in rush hour tangles Mill Plain traffic

first_imgA two-car collision Wednesday evening during rush hour blocked all three westbound lanes on Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard at 117th Avenue, authorities said. Vancouver police responded to what was reported as a head-on collision at 5:13 p.m., according to emergency radio traffic monitored by The Columbian. At least one person was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, said Officer Ilia Botvinnik with the Vancouver Police Department. Westbound traffic was diverted to 124th Avenue while emergency crews worked at the scene, according to emergency radio traffic. A Chihuahua in one of the vehicles was uninjured and returned to its owner. Both cars in the crash were towed from the scene. Names of the drivers were not released.last_img
